భీమవరం: ఆకివీడు పెదపేట రామాలయం విషయంలో వివాదంపై శుక్రవారం బహుజన సమాజ్ పార్టీ (బీఎస్పీ) నాయకులు ఆకివీడు వెళ్లేందుకు ప్రయత్నించారు. దీంతో భీమవరంలో భీమవరం డీఎస్పీ రఘువీర్ విష్ణు ఆధ్వర్యంలో సీఐలు నాగ రాజు, కాశీచరణ్, శ్రీనివాస్, ఎస్సై రామారావు, కిరణ్ కుమార్తో పాటు పోలీసులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున మోహరించి వారిని అడ్డుకున్నారు. ఆకివీడులో 144 సెక్షన్ అమలులో ఉందని, అక్కడికి ఎవరూ వెళ్లవద్దని సూచించడంతో బహుజన సమాజ్ పార్టీ నాయకులు భీమవరంలోని అంబేద్కర్ విగ్రహం వద్ద నిరసన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా బీఎస్పీ రాష్ట్ర అధ్యక్షుడు గౌతమ్ కుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం వచ్చాక దళితులు, దళిత క్రైస్తవులపై దాడులు పెరిగాయని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

BSP Leaders Attempt to Visit Akividu

Bhimavaram: On Friday, leaders of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) attempted to travel to Akividu regarding a dispute over the Pedapeta Ramalayam (Rama Temple).

In response, a large police force—led by Bhimavaram DSP Raghuveer Vishnu and including CIs Naga Raju, Kashicharan, and Srinivas, along with SIs Rama Rao and Kiran Kumar—was deployed in Bhimavaram to block them.

The police informed the leaders that Section 144 was in effect in Akividu and advised them not to go. Consequently, the BSP leaders held a protest at the Ambedkar statue in Bhimavaram instead.

During the protest, BSP State President Gautham Kumar expressed concern, stating that attacks on Dalits and Dalit Christians have increased since the alliance government took office.
