ఆకివీడు గ్రామీణ: యాప్ ఆధారిత ముఖ హాజరు నమోదు ప్రక్రియ ఉపాధి శ్రామికులకు పెద్ద సమస్యగా మారింది. సిగ్నల్ందనిచోట వారి అవస్థలు వర్ణనాతీతం. పని ప్రదేశాలకు దూరంగా సిగ్నల్ ఉన్న చోటకు వెళ్లాల్సి వస్తోంది. అప్పటికిగానీ హాజరు నమోదు కావడం లేదు. పలు మండలాలు, కొల్లేరు తీర ప్రాంత గ్రామాల పరిధిలో సిగ్నల్ లేని ప్రదేశాలలో ముఖ హాజరుకు కూలీలు రోజూ తంటాలు పడుతున్నారు. సిగ్నల్ అందే ప్రాంతానికి శ్రామికులు హాజరు నమోదు కోసం మేట్లు, ఫీల్డ్ అసిస్టెంట్లు తీసుకెళ్తున్నారు. పనిచేసినా యాప్లో హాజరు నమోదు కాలేదంటే శ్రామికులకు ఆ రోజు వేతనం రాదు. దీంతో ఈ ప్రక్రియ పూర్తయ్యే వరకు వేచిచూడాల్సి వస్తుందని కూలీలు ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. పలువురు వృద్ధుల హాజరు నమోదులో మరింత ఇబ్బందులు ఎదురవుతున్నాయి.
అమలు కాని ప్రత్యామ్నాయ ఏర్పాట్లు.. సిగ్నల్ సమస్య ఉన్నచోట ముఖ హాజరుకు అధికారులు చేసిన ప్రత్యామ్నాయ ఏర్పాట్లు అమలు కావట్లేదు. సిగ్నల్ సమస్య ఉన్నప్పుడు ముఖ హాజరును తీసుకుని యాప్లో ఆ వివరాలు సేవ్ చేయాలి. సిగ్నల్ ఉన్న ప్రాంతాలకు 5-7 రోజుల వ్యవధిలో సిబ్బంది వెళ్లి యాప్లో ఆ వివరాలను సబ్మిట్ చేయాలి. దీంతో హాజరు నమోదు కోసం గంటల తరబడి పడిగాపులు పడాల్సిన అవసరం ఉండదు. ఈ విషయాన్ని పీడీ అప్పారావు దృష్టికి 'న్యూస్టుడే' తీసుకెళ్లగా పరిశీలించి హాజరు నమోదులో ఎదురవుతున్న సమస్యల పరిష్కారానికి చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామన్నారు.

Akividu Rural: The app-based facial attendance registration process has become a major problem for NREGS wage seekers. Their plights in areas without network signals are beyond description. They are forced to walk far away from their workplaces to locations where signals are available. Only then is their attendance getting registered. In several mandals and villages along the Kolleru coastal region, laborers struggle daily for facial attendance in signal-free zones. Mates and Field Assistants are taking workers to areas with network connectivity just to record attendance. If attendance is not registered in the app despite working, the laborers do not receive their wages for that day. Consequently, laborers express grief that they have to wait endlessly until this process is completed. Several elderly individuals face even worse difficulties in getting their attendance recorded.
Alternative Arrangements Unimplemented.. The alternative arrangements made by officials for facial attendance in signal-deficit areas are not being implemented. When there is a signal issue, the facial attendance should be captured and saved offline in the app. The staff should then travel to an area with network connectivity within 5-7 days to submit those details in the app. This would eliminate the need to wait for hours just for attendance registration. When 'NewsToday' brought this matter to the attention of PD Apparao, he stated that they would examine the issue and take action to resolve the problems faced in attendance registration.
